Piazza Armerina

A small medieval town in the province of Enna located in the green woods that frame it. Piazza Armerina is famous for its historical and archaeological heritage and is recognized worldwide for the Mosaics of the Villa Romana del Casale. It has a splendid Baroque historic center, presided over by the imposing Duomo, which occupies the highest position in the city and has the ancient nucleus all around it.

The Villa Romana del Casale, recognized by UNESCO and listed as a “World Heritage Site,” is undoubtedly one of the largest and most luxurious villas in the Roman world. Its decorative mosaics are exceptional in artistic quality and creativity.
